Pat McCormick

After nearly four decades of putting out fires, it makes perfect sense that Pat now works from a fire house as AM:PM PR's Fire Chief. An Oregon native, Pat’s family homesteaded near St. Paul in 1850. Cousins still grow hops there.
From editing Army newspapers to helping Ramblin’ Rod judge smile contests and starting a TV station at 27, Pat grew up around communications.
But the lure of politics pulled Pat into staff director roles for state legislative leaders and an Oregon Congressman before starting his first PR firm in 1983. He lobbied, ran Oregon’s electronics industry association, took a lead role in a Portland ad agency. Then he spent nearly 20 years as a partner in one of Portland’s top PR firms.
Pat’s been recognized by peers with a lifetime achievement award from the metro chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. But he’s most recognized by his sandal-shod, no-tie, casual style and the M&M dispensers all around his office.
